In celebration of Merdeka and the spirit of togetherness, KMI Healthcare and AFA PRIME Berhad (AFA) join forces to champion the health and safety of Malaysian travellers with the distribution of 1,000 complimentary KMI Jaga Anda Mini Medical Kits at the Gombak Toll Plaza.
As part of KMI Healthcare’s Kesihatan Memenuhi Impian campaign and AFA’s wider road safety programme, the distribution aims to alleviate Malaysians of their health and safety concerns as they travel during one of the busiest periods of the year, allowing travellers to focus on what truly matters – reuniting with loved ones.
Travellers received a KMI Jaga Anda Mini Medical Kit containing basic first-aid essentials, accompanied by bottled mineral water and a reusable bag to keep them hydrated and supported throughout their journeys. Together, these items serve as a reminder of the importance of staying safe, healthy, and well-prepared while on the road.
Volunteers and representatives from both organisations were present on site to ensure a smooth and safe distribution, as a steady flow of travellers warmly received the kits. The effort reinforced the campaign’s focus on community care and responsibility, especially during festive travel.
Reflecting on the initiative and how it aligns with the Kesihatan Memenuhi Impian philosophy, Dr. Rayney Azmi Ali, Chief Executive Officer of KMI Healthcare, says, “This campaign extends KMI Healthcare’s mission to make healthcare more accessible wherever Malaysians are – even on the road. By equipping travellers with the KMI Jaga Anda Kit, we want to remind everyone that their health and safety should never take a backseat or hold you back, especially during festive seasons when the desire to be with loved ones is strongest.”
Encik Ibrahim Tambi Cik Mohamad, General Manager and Head of AFA PRIME Berhad, says, “As the highway concessionaire of the KL-Karak and East Coast Expressway 1 (LPT1), This Merdeka collaboration with KMI Healthcare reflects our shared concern for travellers, and we will continue to explore meaningful ways to support Malaysians on the road. As we expand and upgrade our highways, we remain dedicated to ensuring that every journey is not only efficient and sustainable, but also safe, meaningful and connected to the people who matter most.”
Looking ahead, both organisations remain committed to exploring meaningful initiatives that support the health, safety and wellbeing of Malaysians on the road, especially during busy travel seasons.
