Starting today, Spotify Premium users in specific markets in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand can access the DJ feature in the English version of the app. Tune in for an enriching experience that not only offers insights into the music you love but also introduces you to undiscovered artists you’re destined to adore.

The initial voice model for Spotify’s DJ is inspired by Spotify’s Head of Cultural Partnerships, Xavier “X” Jernigan. This innovation allows listeners in selected markets to engage with music in an entirely novel way, receiving recommendations in English from their personal DJ.

DJ’s essence lies in the harmonious blend of connection and discovery. By integrating personalization technology, generative AI, and a lively AI voice, DJ makes listening feel uniquely intimate. This cutting-edge feature has spurred listeners to explore new tunes and engage more with the platform, with fans dedicating nearly a third of their listening time to DJ.

For Spotify Premium users in markets where DJ is available, accessing your personal DJ is a breeze. Simply open the Spotify mobile app on your iOS/iPhone or Android device, and your musical odyssey awaits you. DJ crafts a personalized lineup, complemented by brief English-language commentary, ensuring your music experience is unlike any other. And if you wish to switch vibes, the DJ button provides instant access to varied genres, artists, and moods.
