Jenama.

Apakah yang anda faham tentang perkataan ini? Bagi saya sesebuah jenama yang baik mempunyai kebolehan untuk mudah dikenali, diingati dan dipercayai. Sesiapa sahaja boleh mengenali, mengingati dan mempercayai apa jua jenama yang baik tidak kira umur, pangkat, lokasi dan pekerjaan. Malah jenama juga mampu untuk mencipta gaya hidup, trend dan juga cara pengguna berbelanja. Pelik tetapi benar.

Jadi, bagaimana anda membina satu jenama yang kuat seperti yang diterangkan di atas?

Pembinaannya sangat kompleks. Ia tidak semudah dengan pemilihan nama, warna, logo, penulisan slogan dan produk yang ingin dijual, tetapi lebih dari itu. Apa yang kita lihat hanyalah sekadar permukaan sahaja tetapi jenama merangkumi makna yang jauh lebih mendalam sebenarnya. Walaupun apa yang dilihat oleh orang ramai hanyalah permukaan, namun ia tetap penting. Penting kerana di bahagian permukaan ini terletaknya sifat-sifat yang mudah dikenali, diingati dan dipercayai tadi.

Bahagian permukaan sesebuah jenama ini apa yang dikenali sebagai identiti jenama anda. Tidak kira sehebat mana pun bahagian dalaman syarikat anda berfungsi tetapi sekiranya orang ramai tidak mengenali nama jenama anda, bagaimana logo ia dilakar, perjuangan yang jenama anda cuba lakukan dan warna rasmi, semua kerja anda akan menjadi sia-sia.

Terdapat satu lagi elemen yang anda perlu teliti untuk mempunyai permukaan jenama yang hebat – nama domain yang sesuai. Bagi sesetengah jenama, mereka tidak kisah sangat tentang ini tetapi sebenarnya dalam diam ia dinilai oleh orang ramai dan membentuk kepercayaan mereka terhadap anda. Ini sangat kritikal.

Anggapan yang remeh tentang perkara-perkara yang kecil seperti nama domain jenama anda ini biasanya akan membunuh kepercayaan orang ramai dalam skala yang sangat besar. Dalam dunia perniagaan yang dikuasai dengan teknologi pada masa ini, nama domain dilihat sebagai salah satu faktor besar yang bakal mempengaruhi kepercayaan orang ramai kepada sesebuah jenama. Nama domain yang sesuai, pendek, unik dan mudah diingati mempunyai nilai komersil yang sangat tinggi juga dalam membina pengaruh anda di luar sana. Kini sudah tiba masanya anda melihat kepentingan nama domain sama tahap kritikalnya dengan kepentingan nama jenama yang baik, lakaran logo yang unik dan sebagainya.

Pada bulan Februari 2018, saya bersama-sama dengan beberapa rakan kongsi bercadang untuk membina satu cabang perniagaan baharu – majalah pemasaran digital. Memandangkan majalah pemasaran yang betul-betul mempunyai kandungan tentang kaedah pemasaran, taktik dan teknik pemasaran yang baik dan seumpamanya hampir tidak wujud di benua Asia, tambahan pula bahan-bahan pemasaran yang ada kebanyakannya berkisar tentang contoh-contoh yang diambil dari Barat, kami yakin majalah pemasaran digital ini akan mendapat tempat di hati orang-orang Asia. 

Selang beberapa minggu, hampir semua elemen tentang majalah pemasaran digital ini telah siap, kecuali satu – nama. Berpuluh-puluh nama telah disenaraikan sebagai cadangan tetapi satu pun tidak menepati apa yang kami kehendaki. Setelah berdiskusi dan bertengkar selama hampir sebulan lebih, satu nama telah dipersetujui. Nama yang amat sesuai, mempunyai kebolehan untuk diingati dan dipercayai dengan baik, mempunyai autoriti domain di enjin pencarian seperti Google dan Bing yang sangat bagus.

Marketing In Asia

Hampir dua bulan juga untuk mendapatkan nama ini, bukan sesuatu yang mudah. Kini, sesiapa sahaja yang menaip apa jua ayat di kotak pencarian Google and Bing, yang mempunyai perkataan ‘Marketing’ dan juga ‘Asia’, untuk mencari apa jua bahan di internet, hampir pasti akan melihat laman web Marketing In Asia tertera di senarai mukasurat pertama atau kedua di laman enjin pencarian tersebut.

Ini kuasa yang perlu anda faham sekiranya jenama anda mempunyai nama yang betul di mata dan fikiran pengguna dan juga di mata dan fikiran enjin pencarian. Bukan sahaja untuk kekuatan strategi SEO anda tetapi ia juga penting di media sosial juga apabila anda ingin membuat perkongsian dari laman web, nama domain anda akan tertera pada status yang anda muatnaik itu.

Ingat, pemilihan nama domain sama pentingnya dengan pemilihan nama untuk jenama anda. Ia tidak semudah yang anda sangkakan. Lakukannya dengan berhati-hati.
