IT Solutions Provider Wilstech Signs Deal with OrangeKloud

Malaysian smart Information technology (IT) solutions company, Wilstech has signed a licensing agreement with OrangeKloud, a Singaporean enterprise mobility solutions provider. This collaboration will allow Wilstech to sell and distribute OrangeKloud’s suite of software development solutions to businesses in Malaysia.

OrangeKloud’s flagship software is eMOBIQ, a no-code Rapid Mobile App Development (RMAD) solution that allows business owners to build mobile applications with zero prior programming experience. Using a drag-and-drop interface, eMOBIQ greatly simplifies the development process and is capable of producing fully native, cross-platform mobile applications, enabling Malaysian enterprises to tap into the US$112.6bil mobile app market.

In line with governmental efforts to encourage the adoption of tech-based business solutions, the agreement between Wilstech and OrangeKloud has a special focus on reducing barriers to entry into the digital space for small-and-medium enterprise (SME) owners, who may lack the necessary IT expertise.

Wilson Low, co-founder of Wilstech, shared: “The idea of ‘creating an app by yourself’ can be almost impossible to imagine without the tech know-how to do it, but that is no longer an obstacle with RMAD. It has always been our life’s work at Wilstech to democratise technology and make it more accessible to everyday Malaysians, and this is a goal shared by our like-minded friends from OrangeKloud. With this new addition, Wilstech is well on track to establishing itself as a one-stop provider of IT solutions that grow alongside Malaysian businesses, be they big or small.”

The eMOBIQ software, which will be incorporated into Wilstech’s suite of services, further aims to help Malaysian businesses nurture long-term relationships with customers. With the average Malaysian spending more than one-third of their day on mobile devices, dedicated mobile applications can play a key role in improving brand visibility, making brand information and services more accessible, as well as actively engaging and connecting with their user base. The RMAD element also allows businesses to build frameworks for in-app marketing and loyalty campaigns, all without coding.

“Although mobile apps have become a vital touchpoint in any brand digital strategy, app development is still considered a very specialised task that you would have to commission from experts. Our eMOBIQ software returns that control to the people who best know their brand, the business owners — so that they can create their dream app without writing a single line of code. Just as we have in Singapore, we look forward to positively impacting the Malaysian business scene through this strategic partnership with Wilstech,” stated Adrian Ang, Vice President of OrangeKloud, Asia Pacific.

Building on this partnership with OrangeKloud, Wilstech hopes to further drive the growing trend of digitalisation in Malaysia and continue providing companies with easy-to-use tech-driven solutions that complement their main channels of business. Wilstech is also constantly open to sharing insights, ideas, and expertise with other trailblazers in the industry.
