In a strategic move to bolster its global marketing prowess, BlackLine, Inc. has announced the appointment of Emily Campbell as the new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective January 2nd. Reporting directly to co-CEO Owen Ryan, Campbell is set to lead the company’s worldwide marketing strategy, focusing on capitalizing on BlackLine’s leadership in digital finance transformation.

A Vision for Digital Finance Transformation

Campbell’s primary objective as CMO is to meet the burgeoning global demand for solutions that enhance automation, efficiency, risk management, and financial control within the CFO’s office. Her role is pivotal in steering BlackLine towards fulfilling these market needs through innovative and impactful marketing strategies.

Decades of Marketing Expertise

Bringing over 25 years of experience in leading marketing teams, Campbell’s expertise is a valuable asset to BlackLine. Her most recent tenure as CMO at Infinite Electronics saw her overseeing a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including communications, e-commerce, and global brand marketing strategy. Her previous roles at Arrow Electronics and Dell Technologies further solidify her reputation as a seasoned leader in marketing and digital innovation.

Co-CEO Owen Ryan expressed confidence in Campbell’s appointment, citing her strong track record in building and growing technology brands globally. “The diversity and success of her past experiences speak to her ability to drive effective results across all facets of marketing,” said Ryan. He emphasized Campbell’s critical role in BlackLine’s strategy as the premier accounting and finance platform for the Office of the CFO.

For Campbell, joining BlackLine represents an opportunity to blend innovation with impact.
