In a heartwarming celebration of the Chinese New Year, Apple, in collaboration with TBWA\Media Arts Lab Shanghai, has unveiled its 2024 digital film, ‘Little Garlic.’ This film, entirely shot on an iPhone, delves into the theme of self-acceptance, resonating particularly with China’s Gen Z.

The Story of Wei: Overcoming Insecurities

‘Little Garlic’ narrates the journey of a young girl named Wei, grappling with her insecurities. The film beautifully captures how Wei, aided by her grandfather’s wisdom and affection, learns to embrace her true self. This narrative aligns perfectly with the Year of the Dragon, emphasizing the message that being ‘just yourself’ is not only acceptable but also unique and special.

Highlighting iPhone’s Filmmaking Capabilities

The film not only tells a compelling story but also showcases the advanced features of the iPhone, used to bring this cinematic piece to life. Apple’s focus on the iPhone’s capabilities in filmmaking demonstrates the brand’s commitment to blending technology with creativity.
