Accenture today announced a commitment of SGD500,000 to the President’s Challenge, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive growth and positive social impact in Singapore.
Accenture is backing a youth mentorship initiative targeting pre-employment youths, designed to equip young Singaporeans with the skills, exposure, and confidence needed to explore careers and be more prepared to do well in the digital economy.
Partnering with local charity and Institution of Public Character (IPC) The Astronauts Collective – one of the National Youth Council’s key partners, and in support of the Mentoring SG Movement – Accenture is supporting their Day X program – a hands-on workshop that introduces students to opportunities in tech and consulting, and the JumpStart program – a six month career mentoring program to support youths in their school-to-work transition. Over the next two years, Accenture professionals will dedicate 5,000 mentoring hours to guide students through meaningful career exploration.
In addition, Accenture will join the Community Chest’s SHARE program, enabling employees to support social causes through monthly giving.
These commitments were made at Accenture’s 50th anniversary dinner, graced by Guest of Honour, President Tharman Shanmugaratnam. The dinner also featured a panel on navigating the next decade of change in an AI-driven economy, with insights from former Singapore managing partner of Accenture Willie Cheng, CEO of DHL Supply Chain Asia Pacific Javier Bilbao, and China Lead Economist at Oxford Economics Louise Loo.
Over the past five decades, Accenture has been part of the Singapore story — working alongside government, businesses, and communities to drive innovation, advance local talent, and support inclusive growth. Through initiatives like the AI Refinery Engineering Hub and the Talent Advancement Program, Accenture remains committed to helping Singapore lead in the future.
