New Delhi, December 23, 2024 – In a landmark event that celebrates resilience and entrepreneurial spirit, Meena Bindra, Founder and Chairperson of BIBA, unveiled her much-anticipated memoir, A Stitch in Time: The BIBA Story. This inspiring book chronicles her journey of redefining Indian fashion and entrepreneurship, marking a significant chapter in the industry’s evolution.

A Tribute to Women Entrepreneurs

The launch event was graced by Mrs. Smriti Irani, Former Union Minister of Women & Child Development, who served as the Chief Guest. Highlighting the significance of Meena Bindra’s journey, Mrs. Irani remarked: “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the ‘bebe’ of BIBA on the launch of her memoir. BIBA has been a monumental force behind conserving and at the same time pushing forward the Indian textile industry within India and across borders. The Memoir: A Journey of Passion and Perseverance

In A Stitch in Time, Meena Bindra reflects on her humble beginnings, her daring leap into entrepreneurship at 40, and the challenges of balancing personal and professional life. She recounts her early days of designing salwar kameez at home with a modest loan of ₹8,000 and how it blossomed into a brand that revolutionized Indian fashion.

Sharing her vision, Bindra said: “When I started my venture, I had no grand ambitions—just a passion for design and the desire to earn some pocket money. The ₹8,000 loan I took to start this venture was a leap of faith, and this leap changed the course of my life and many others. Through this book, I want readers to know the magic that happens when you follow your heart.”

An Entrepreneurial Legacy

Her son, Mr. Siddharath Bindra, Managing Director of BIBA, expressed immense pride:
