GetGo Expands with 'GetGo City'

Singapore’s home-grown carsharing juggernaut, GetGo, proudly announced the opening of its innovative new office, “GetGo City”, within JTC’s bustling one-north tech arena on November 3. The sprawling 14,000 sqft space stands as a testament to the company’s skyrocketing success and its vision for the future.

From Humble Beginnings to Carsharing Colossus

In the relatively short span since its inception in August 2020, GetGo has charted an astounding growth curve. From the ambitions of two co-founders, the company has burgeoned into a 200-strong team in just over two years. “In just two years since our official launch in February 2021, we have grown our community to over 300,000 users and our fleet to 3,000 vehicles across 1,600 locations islandwide,” highlighted Toh Ting Feng, GetGo’s CEO and co-founder.

Future-Ready Workspace for a Booming Team

Designed with a focus on collaboration and integration, GetGo City aims to further accommodate the company’s expanding workforce. Plans are in the pipeline to double its staff in key areas such as digital marketing, product development, data science, and tech-oriented operations. In line with the green wave, the company is committed to nurturing its team’s prowess in AI and data analytics, preparing them for a future in sustainable tech.

Positioned for Growth, Domestically and Globally

GetGo’s recent foray into Enterprise Singapore’s flagship Scale-Up programme has further solidified its vision. The program’s strategic alliance with global consulting giant, McKinsey & Co, will bolster GetGo’s three-year growth blueprint. Their ambition is clear: introduce trailblazing mobility solutions not just in Singapore, but also on the international stage.

Being nestled in JTC’s tech-centric one-north precinct further fuels GetGo’s innovative spirit. The company has been forging strong alliances with varied mobility stakeholders, from automotive titans like Hyundai to nimble startups like Anywheel, and charging infrastructure providers such as CDG Engie and ChargEco.

Toh Ting Feng elucidated, “There is a clear and growing need for accessible and sustainable mobility in Singapore and beyond. At GetGo City, we look forward to growing our teams and capabilities. We will double down on collaborative innovation both internally and with our partners, big and small, in the wider community. Through these efforts, we hope to deepen and widen our positive impact on many more communities.”
