This month, DesignStreet will celebrate a unique milestone: the 20th anniversary of its relationship with American Express.
Established in 1998, DesignStreet is an independent, family-owned creative marketing agency specialising in B2B marketing. Services include digital marketing, direct marketing, strategy, and below-the-line activities, which they have provided to American Express for the past 20 years.
“In our industry, it’s unusual for a business relationship to last 20 years, let alone for a boutique-sized business like ours to maintain such a strong, long-lasting relationship with a premium, global-leading brand like American Express,” says Jonty Hardy, CEO of DesignStreet.
“While we don’t compete directly with other major agency relationships, we have carved out a position where we provide high-quality creative solutions with the speed and agility that come with being a small business.
“In some ways, we are an example of the American Express Shop Small program in action. Our experience with Amex shows how small businesses can work successfully with larger businesses. Just because you are small doesn’t mean you can’t offer premium expertise and outstanding service,” he says.
The cornerstone DesignStreet team has been a constant, with Graham Hardy working on the Amex account for the full 20 years, and Jonty Hardy and Creative Director Mick Lakin working on the account for 13 and 14 years, respectively.
“Relationships are everything in business, and we are proud to have built such strong trust with American Express over our tenure. It takes time to develop these deep roots, and we value the partnership enormously,” says Hardy.
“We look forward to continuing our solid relationship with American Express and to evolving our capabilities through our proprietary Creative Intelligence™ business model,” says Hardy.
