Ensemble & OPPO Entertain With Technology This Raya To #PictureHeartsTogether

The film unfolds with the story of daughter Fatin gifting her father Tok Maslan an OPPO Hari Raya bundle containing the latest Reno5, Bluetooth earphones and OPPO Watch

Ensemble Worldwide’s latest Raya campaign with OPPO showcases technology in a comedic yet touching father-daughter spot. The film titled ‘Kasih Dari Hati’, loosely translates to ‘Picture Hearts Together’ as an extension of the OPPO Reno5 campaign product tagline of “Picture Life Together”. The film unfolds with the story of daughter Fatin gifting her father Tok Maslan an OPPO Hari Raya bundle containing the latest Reno5, Bluetooth earphones and OPPO Watch.

Norman Tang, Creative Director of Ensemble Worldwide said, “With the ongoing uncertainties, the team knew it might be a while before they saw their families from out of KL. But the simple truth is that we all want to connect with family, in any shape or form. That is when we knew we had a unique space to showcase the OPPO IOT (Internet of Things) solutions.

“We combined our real-life stories to shape the character of Fatin as an archetype of a KL urbanite coming to the city for work, away from home and parents. Cheeky and lighthearted, yet with deeper layers of love, filial responsibility, and the pain of separation, it was a collective decision to go with this story as it resonates so well.”

Nikki Chen, Marketing Director of OPPO Malaysia said, “We knew we wanted to tell a story reflective of our new reality, where the simple act of ‘balik kampung’ (going back to the hometown) has become a tall order. The message is that IOT and smartphones allow us to stay close with our loved ones, and these technologies allow us to go deeper in our interactions with each other. That is what Ramadan is all about; that is the idea brought out so amazingly by the Ensemble and production team. That no matter the distance, we can always picture (our) hearts together.”

The film is directed by well-respected Malaysian director Nadiah Hamzah who recently won a Cannes Lion.

Norman adds, “Nadiah helped us tell this heartfelt story in its truest form. The casting of local actors Azman Hassan and Nidiya Nisaa as Pak Maslan really brought the characters to life, even when scenes appeared through the phone.”

The film features a song by the same name by renowned Malaysian singer and performer Ayda Jebat. Composed by creative and music director Danny Lim and the talented team behind Real Time Studios, with lyrics by Nawi Zainal Abidin from Ensemble Worldwide who comes with 30 years’ experience in Malay market advertising.

The film ends with the tagline ‘Although we’re apart, love fills our hearts’. It was released on 3rd May 2021 across digital platforms.

Alongside the film, a unique AR Instagram filter amplifies the campaign, with exclusive OPPO Raya Rewards to be won till 23rd May 2021. Participants who join the OPPO ‘Ka(Raya)oke Dari Hati’ contest by singing with the AR filter on Instagram stand to win the OPPO Raya Bundle, OPPO Reno5 F, and other prizes worth up to RM10,000.
