Christine Halim

Christine Halim began by collecting plastic waste from a small garage in Surabaya. She then ventured into learning the export of PET flakes to China and importing polyester fabrics, also known as Dacron fabrics, into Indonesia. Over time, through trading PET flakes and finished products, she expanded her investments into a PET recycling factory, which produced non-woven fiber as well. Today, she stands as the founder of a food-grade bottle-to-bottle recycling company and a modern waste management operation. In the span of 20 years, her businesses have flourished and extended their reach to various regions in Indonesia. This is a remarkable story of entrepreneurship and sustainability.
